October sketch for A2Z Scraplets

Here is my layout for the A2Z Scraplets sketch for the month of October. I have had this paper lying around for ages, so I was glad to use it up, thought the photo was perfect for the paper. This photo is just so cute. Cody is such a Daddies boy. He loves it when Rodney gets home, they are outside buddies. Cody is this out door child and just loves pottering out in the yard. They both get out and dig in the dirt, and Cody loves mowing the lawn with Rodney, it is so funny to see them cruising around.

My scrapbooking room

We built a new house and moved in about 10 weeks ago, well I finally have my scrapbooking room organised. Well it isn't perfectly neat, but what scrapbooker has a perfectly neat room. I don't know any!!!!! When we built this house one of my sitpulations was that I had to have a great scrapbooking room. If I was going to build I wanted to do it right and be a practical home. Also lets face it scrapbooking you have a lot of bits and pieces lying around and sometimes, well especially when you have kids you need to leave your layout to go do stuff so I have a great space to do that now. Also lots of space for the girls to come and scrap. I even conned my husband letting me have the old tv, (as he got to buy a new huge tv for the family room so I let him do that if I could get the old one) So now it is the perfect room ( just got to find the power cord to go into the tv, to get it to work. Moving!!!!) I will be able to watch Dr Phill why scrapping. Perfect. Now when my girlfriend Sam comes over and scrap, we have a bit of a tradition of watching scarey movies and scrapping, our usually horror flick is Saw. So I am now ready to go.

Beautiful Baby Layout

Here is the layout from the previous sneak peak. I have used all of A2Z Scraplets so if you like jump on there web site www.a2zscraplets.com.au and you can check them out. I really am happy with this layout, I am on a roll with the double layouts, usually hate them but they are working out for me this time. I have had this paper for ages but always thought it was a bit wishy washy but really loved using it. These are Harrison's ultra sound photos

A bit of a sneak peak

Here is a bit of a sneak peak on my ultrasound photos of Harrison. I have done a double layout, I have used some Design Team stuff on it so I have to keep it somewhat hidden but thought I would give you a sneak peak of it. Not usually a fan of the whole double layout but really like how this one has turned out. Can't wait to show you guys.

These photos were taken last summer, boy can you believe it that it is nearly summer again, and Christmas. My gosh where has the year gone???

A girly layout

I love doing girly layouts, we had our class, one of the girls choose some papers which was this Daisy D paper, love it, so I am on such a roll at the moment scrapping that I did this one last night, and stuck it together this morning. Gotta love those butterflies, they are my favourite thing to do at the moment on a layout or card (thanks Sam) This kit is only $11. There is only 6 kits so you girls will have to get in quick for this one.

Butterfly Card

Here is another card that I have made, I got the tutorial on how to make this butterfly from my friend Sams blog, me and my little rascals blog sight. It is so easy and it is soooo cute how it turns out, I like it over a stamp as a stamp is so flat where this gives the card s bit of dimension. I also like it as you can keep your card really simple and have the butterfly as a feature, I have made this card up for my beareavement midwife, as the butterfly is there symbol that they use when you lose a baby they put this symbol on your door so that employees of the hospital know. I hope she likes the card. I did the antennas out of stuff that I was going to throw and had lying around in my scrapbooking stuff for years, just goes to show that stuff always comes in handy eventually.

Thank you cards

I made up these thank you cards, I am really happy with how they turned out. I have done a layout with this paper, which I love, it is Melissa Francis paper, I like her paper but have not really used alot of that range as it is a bit more antique style and you have to have the right photos, but I am doing up an album for my son, Harrison, see his story from his blog. and I want a sort of style album, and saw this paper and it is exactly what I am after, so this paper is the left over from my double layout, which keep your eye out as I will put this layout up soon. I have made these cards for my midwife who looked after me while I was pregnant and the nurse that looked after Harrison. I am really happy how they have turned out. I think they are really pretty and simple. Gotta love those scraps

My angel Harrison

Some of you may not know, but I had a little boy, Harrison last month, he was born on the 14th September 2010. He had Diapraghmatic hernia and we were told he only had 30% chance of surviving. Well my beautiful Harrison lived for 29hours and died at 5.30pm on the 15th September. I have dedicated a blog to him and all the people that helped Harrison from midwifes to docctors and nurses. So feel free and go to Harrison's blog to see his story. I wanted to write this blog so that it would help people love there kids more, and those with sick kids to get through the rough times, and for those who have lost a baby know you aren't alone. Also I hope that maybe one day Harrisons story will help someone with a baby and family with the same road that we travelled. But the most important reason I wrote this blog was so Harrison lives on, and the world can see how beautiful he was. I love you Harrison, my sweet little angel.

October kits

This months kits are here, I am starting up my classes again, the first one will be this wednesday the 20th. This kit is $15.00, but it doesn't included titles, for you girls that come regularly these are the letters we have used in some of the previous kits, if you are out I do have some extras that are available to buy. I have done up these 2 layouts which we will be doing, but this time I have also introduced a girl kit, which we will be doing the exact same layout but with girly papers. As shown in the image below. I have kept these layouts simple for our first day back, also we will be drawing a name out of a hat who will select the next lot of papers for the next kit. Can't wait to see who it is, and what they choose. Look forward to seeing you girls there.
