My Kaisercraft Design Team Application

Well, what a huge undertaking this has been. I have been hanging out for the Kaisercraft Design team call for months now. When they did release the call I was a little overwhelmed with the process of applying. Wow 8 layouts and an off the page.. At first I was a bit mmm should I do this, then thought, I am a little obsessed with Kaiser, and I already had a few of my most favourite layouts that were Kaisercraft, so I had nothing to lose. Also I have nearly every Kaiser paper in my stash. Love it and can't get enough. Hence why I am applying for the Design team. So to view more Kaisercraft products click here

Off the Page

Here is my off the page project for Kaisercraft Design Team. I have used the Kaisercraft Rec Personal album, I really loved the size of this album, and perfect for those mini prints . The paper range that I have used is the Magic Happens It has to be one of my top 10 ranges in scrapbooking. So beautiful. Loved it and have used it on so many layouts. Love the blossom flowers that match in with the papers. What can I say, I love it, love it, love it!!

This albums comes with 8 pages, and one hole, that I tied ribbon through it. My little book is really bulky because I have added all the blossom flowers, but I love bulk on my off the page items and layouts. This album I did on my son. I wanted it to be really special, and just a little keep sake for me of the day I spent with him when he was first born.

For more Kaisercraft off the page ideas, or to see what items they have available click Kaisercraft I think they have the best off the page in the industry. Such a massive selection, so easy to use, and so much fun.

My Layouts

Here is my 9 layouts that I have done for the Kaisercraft Design Team. Kaisercraft asked for 8 layouts, but I have done so many layouts with Kaiser I added another one. Most of these are my most favourite layouts, and I don't think I do to bad using 'girly' papers when I have all boys in my family.

My first layout titled 'angel' I have used the English Rose Paper range from Kaisercraft. Such a beautiful paper range. I have also used the Kaisercraft bling flourish, and the English Rose tags where my title sits. This paper range has a bit of an antique look to it, and the lovely maroon colouring. I love how Kaisercraft have flower patterns on their papers as I like to cut them out and use them as embellishments and add a bit of depth to a layout. Every time I am in a photos I take every opportunity to scrap with 'girly' papers. I really love this layout, and one of my favourites.

Layout number 2. This is a photo of my HUGE massive belly to my fourth son. this paper range is one of Kaisercraft older ranges. I have had it sitting far ages in my stash, but loved using it, especially with the Kaisercraft wooden cherish word. I have hand made all the flowers from left over scrap paper and made my butterfly with lace, and left over scrap paper also. I have also used a dolley.

Here is my two layouts that I have used the Magic Happens paper range. This paper range is just stunning. The thing that I found hard was that I had to buy lots of it as I loved both sides of the paper so much I couldn't decide which one to use. Ohhh and the Kasiercraft dolleys, LOVE THEM. I must confess, I loved everything about this range, all the papers, all the embellishments, butterfly, matching dolleys, the matching blossoms. Loved it.

For my next layout I have used the Kaisercraft Chanteuse paper range, how beautiful is this paper??? Once again I love the flower print on the paper so that it can be cut out for an embellishment, also I love the embellishments, the posie embellishment pack was really different. I have never worked with embellishments like this before, I loved it. I curled some of my posie's to give it a bit of a different look, loved the colours in the paper range also. pink is one of my favourite colours.

On this layout I have use the Utopia paper range. I was a bit nervous at first using this paper range with my son, it has purples and flowers, not that I am afraid to use flowers on a boy layout, I was just not sure how much purple I could use on a layout without making it to feminine. Once I sat down and started organising my papers, I realise this paper range was fantastic for boys, as it had the bright blue and greens. I thought with the towel having a bit of purple in it this paper range was fantastic to use with this paper. I had heaps of fun using this paper range, I also used the Kaisercraft stamps for flourishes, and some of the Kaisercraft rub ons.

This next layout I have used the Kaisercraft Nan's favourites paper range. This paper is just so usable, the colours are really versatile. Not alot of papers can go with my son's sport uniform, which he is in the kitchen cooking. He had to do a school speech and slide show presentation on a recipe, so we took heaps of photos for the slide show, but I was excited as I had heaps of photos to use on a cooking layout. So as soon as I saw this paper range I raced out and bought it so I could scrap these photos. The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was that I didn't get the embellishments I would have really liked to use some of them on this layout. I am thinking about getting more of this paper, I want to do up a recipe book for my boys for when they eventually move out of home wiht our family recipes in. (I know that is a long way off, my boys leaving home) I find it hard to get great 'cooking' paper, so I think I will get more so I can start there recipe books and then keep adding recipes through the years

This is another layout using they Chanteuse Coleection. This layout is using my left over paper from my first original one that features a few layouts above, and I also wanted to use my left over embellishments. I try and use up every bit of paper that I have, whether that would be layouts, or off the page or a card. I try and do it straight away, I know if I put my scraps away I tend to not go back and use them, so I have been trying to get into a habit to use them up straight away.
This is one of my favourite photos of my son. He was being really photogenic on the day I took this photo, and then when I saw this paper range from Kaisercraft Bubblegum Hills paper range.
I must admit I went a bit nuts. I soooo adore this paper, I love all the colours in it, and love though it has pink in it it was really complimented with alot of blues and greens so it could be used for either sex. I have made my own embellishments on this layout, and used the pattern paper for embellishments and I have used teh journalling card. I had so much doing this layout.

Well that is my Kaisercraft bundle of layouts. Fingers crossed that I get into the Design Team, I am sure they will have a huge amount of applications for there design team, hopefully I may be what they are looking for. I would love to get on there, I am definitely a Kaisercraft junkie, I can't get enough of their products, and I am so addicted to scrapbooking and I wouldn't know what to do with out it in my life. I often wonder what I did with my time before scrapping, but it has been 7 years now and I can't remember what I use to do.
